A classroom reborn
Ahmedabad district, Gujarat
“My daughter now wants to become a teacher herself.”
When VYO volunteers began weekly sessions at the village school, attendance was low and the classroom had few books.
Within a year, the school had a small library, regular volunteer teachers and parents who joined monthly meetings.
Today the children read aloud with confidence, and several want to become teachers themselves.
